Four Fingers Chicken Burger

Last Wednesday I indulged my junk food craving at the Four Fingers in Plaza Singapura.

I opted for the seaweed fries. Powdered seaweed and salt make for good fries.

There was liquid cheese on the greasy chicken breast. Don’t get me wrong- I like greasy fried chicken.

It was a tasty snack.

The wet wipes are needed, as the sandwich drips with grease. Tasty grease!

Choo Choo Chicken

A few sources, such as blog posts and maybe a newspaper regarded Choo Choo Chicken as the best Korean fried chicken in Singapore. Since I’ve been looking for the best KFC in Singapore, of course I had to try it.

On the left, was the chicken fingers meal, complete with a nice salad and a seaweed rice ball. I chose the spicy sauce and it was spicy. Not overpoweringly spicy, but sweet and the heat came on slow but built up to a good burn. I hadn’t realized how much food I would get, so the fried mushroom strips were probably unnecessary.

The meat was juicy white meat. It was nice and crispy. I loved the seaweed rice ball, as it helped quench the fire.

I had a Old Fashioned from the drinks stall that was decent.

The garlicky seaweed soup was also good.

I recommend Choo Choo Chicken. I went to the Pasar Bella location at Suntec City.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich with Bacon and Salted Egg Mayonnaise

Last night, starving after the gym, I went to Pasar Bella at the huge mall, Suntec City.

I went to Wolf Burger and got this.
It was a heart attack on a plate! But it was delicious. The sourness of the pickled cabbage cut through the salty fattiness of the chicken and dressing. I really like the salted egg mayonnaise!

I had it with the kim chee cheese fries, also delicious, which reminded me of Nachos Bell Grande.

Order your food and you receive a pager. Wow! It was crowded.

Four Fingers Drumstick Meal

After returning to Singapore aboard the shittiest airline I’ve even flown on (Lion Air), my girlfriend and I went to Somerset, where she had to buy some shoes before leaving the next day to Sydney.

It’s good fried chicken. Like other Korean fried chicken restaurants, the sauce is brushed on and becomes hard, like shellac. It’s nice because the skin remains crispy.

I had a Sprite and the seaweed fries which came to $9.90, I believe.

Har Jeong Kai Chicken Burger

I ate this some time ago. I’m in Indonesia at the moment, but I thought I should clear out the photos on my phone. This was on a Wednesday when I just couldn’t decide what to eat. Or maybe it was a Friday?

Har Jeong Kai is shrimp paste. So the chicken breast was coated with the salty and savory parts and then deep fried.

Of course, it was good. I chose the garlic fries with my burger, which meant fried garlic chips sprinkled on the fries which could have been a little crisper.

This was at Everything With Fries, a decent local burger chain. They didn’t have the jelly dessert I wanted to try though.

Sichuan Fried Chicken (四川炸雞)

This was fusion bar food of high caliber. The fried chicken was crispy and because of some sorcery, devoid of bones.

It was garnished with chili padi and ground Sichuan pepper. Still moist within, it was served on shredded cabbage. It was spicy and numbing and most of my first beer was drunk quenching the fire on my tongue.

Wildfire Burger makes great fried chicken!

They also have a great beer list.
I had a good American beer, Arrogant Bastard whilst eating this spicy and skillfully executed fried chicken.

Their Moscow Mules are weak,  however and not served in copper mugs.

Popeye’s Fried Chicken

I had chicken fingers here once, but I was craving fried chicken so I reckoned it was time.

Right out of the fryer, it was crispy and greasy.

It was so greasy! The small stack of proffered napkins were insufficient to soak up the grease. The chicken was nice and moist, though.

The seasoned fries were baked, I suspect. They weren’t crispy at all. I liked the cole slaw and the honey biscuit. However, I believe it to be morally wrong to serve a dry biscuit without butter.

Would I go again?

Only if I were I to suffer from a serious grease deficiency.

Jin JJa!!! Fried Chicken

I do like fried chicken and I am also a fan of Korean fried chicken.

I had asked for spicy, but that’s not what I got. Anyway, the sesame soy coating was very good.

That’s right- I can eat chicken wings with chopsticks.

As it turns out, chopsticks are great for eating cheese fries. These were good, as the fries were crispy and the sauce hot.

The kim chi was decent. I’ve had better.

Jin Jja!!! is reasonably priced. The only downside is the loud K Pop blaring from the speakers.

Cajun Fried Chicken

That’s what is was called on the menu at Chir Chicken. I think that’s the name of this Korean fried chicken restaurant.

Korean fried chicken is really popular in Singapore right now.

It was good fried chicken. Sprinkled with shredded cheddar and black olives made it Cajun, I guess. I wasn’t aware that Cajun cooking utilized black olives.

The mayonnaise was pretty good. My girlfriend I ate all of it.

We had this salad first. Iceberg lettuce, ricotta cheese, croutons, cherry tomatoes and raisins made a decent salad.

These instruments were served with the chicken. I have no idea what their purpose is.

I like this place, in Basement Two of 313 Somerset, but it’s not cheap and service is slow.
