Gruyère Spinach Omelette 

I was going to get toast and eggs at the kaya toast shop in Bugis, but it was packed. So I went to Paris Baguette and had a gruyère spinach omelette that was really good.

  
There was plenty of cheese in the omelette and I liked the parsley on the fries. 

Chili sauce was served in a ramekin. 

The little side salad was tossed with chickpeas and quinoa. 

It was an excellent breakfast.

  
   
 

Black Carrot Cake

This is a savory dish made with a white radish, usually translated as ‘carrot’ in English. 

萝卜糕 is chopped and pan fried with eggs and a thick soy sauce.

  
I also had an oyster omelette.

   
 
Both of these dishes can be enjoyed at the Sing Lian Eating House, on the corner of Geylang Avenue and Lorong 29. 

Vietnamese Omelette

  Sunday morning I came here, to Comnam, the Vietnamese broken rice restaurant.  

The fried calamari had a flavorful and crispy batter. The dipping sauce was made of green chilies and lime juice.  
  
The omelette was served with a few prawns, pork belly, pickled carrots, scallions, a few chilies and leeks. I guess it was pretty healthy.
